NEW JIMNA FIRE TOWER WEB SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The Jimna Fire Tower Action Group JFTAG is pleased to announce the acceptance of a proposal put forward by Dan Sheehan on behalf of Jigsaw Concepts of Kilcoy, for the construction of a new Jimna Fire Tower web site. JFTAG is extremely grateful for the generous terms and conditions offered, and looks forward to developing a dynamic and vital tool for the ongoing promotion of our campaign. We sincerely recognise the work done by a great supporter in Hilary Franklin of Caboolture, who has diligently and voluntarily maintained the present site.

FORESTRY SELL OFF TRIGGERS OWNERSHIP CHANGE :- In light of the proposed sell off of forestry assets by the Queensland Government, JFTAG has written to Forestry Plantations Queensland FPQ, to ask for confirmation of FPQ's commitment to "Stabilise" and "Maintain" the tower. JFTAG has also written to the Queensland Heritage Council to clarify their maintenance requirements and to National Trust Queensland to ask if that bodies previous interest in "Brokering a Solution" is still active.

TOWER NEWS IN BRIEF :- FUND RAISER SUCCESS...JFTAG is delighted to advise that the recent fund raiser was a tremendous success, and will provide campaign funds for the forseeable future.
